The Center for Documentary Studies is pleased to present a free screening of Emile de Antonio and Mark Lane’s Rush to Judgment, a classic account of the JFK assassination and investigation based on Lane’s 1966 New York Times bestselling book of the same name.

Directions
Both writer/producer Mark Lane and cinematographer Robert Primes will be digitally present at the screening. Lane will introduce the film over video call and Primes will conduct a Q&A session following the film. The screening is hosted by CDS Continuing Education instructor Randolph Benson, whose award-winning films have been featured on the Independent Film Channel, Bravo, HBO and others.

Emile de Antonio (director) is considered by many film historians the most important American political filmmaker during the Cold War. His 1968 Oscar nominated film, In the Year of the Pig, produced at the height of the Vietnam War, was greeted with hostility and outrage and theaters that showed it were victimized by vandalism and bomb threats.
Mark Lane (writer, producer) is a practicing attorney of legendary accomplishment and one of the first public critics of the conclusions of the Warren Commission’s investigation of the assassination of President Kennedy. His book Rush to Judgment is considered a seminal work among researchers, scholars, and historians.
Robert Primes (cinematographer) is one of the most respected cinematographers working in Hollywood and is credited in over a hundred film and television shows. He is the recipient of numerous industry awards and, in 2008, he was awarded the President’s lifetime achievement award from the Society of Camera Operators. Rush To Judgment was his first film.
